Sivaji-the disappiontment
i am a great movie buff,i sometimes feel luck to be born as a tamilian and to be bought up in mumbai, because now i can understand hindi, english, tamil, marathi and a bit of telugu and malyalam movies. these languages has formed a major film industry in each of their respected states.but there was always a barrier.the hindi movie goers stereotyped the south indian movies to b not so good movies having fat heroines and dark (complexion)heroes.but some the tamil movies were always used to b best.but i was let down by tamil movie since they were partial toward women and offcourse virginity, sex and issues.but i guese these movies reflected the society which watches the movies.and these movie goers were male dominant.but tamil industry is slowly coming out of this.i thought one such example would be Sivaji-the boss, but sadly it wasn't. the film was very much hyped by the media the only reason for this was a 90 crores budget.i expected a lot from the movie not b'cos of rajini but for shankar.but in the film rajini dominated shankar (sadly).i expected a fresh plot but there was was nothing new. the movie is a good entertainer.i loved the way black money is dealt it was amazing but i was let down when rajini says he would like to marry a lady of tamil culture i would like to question why? there is a scene were there r two girls how r shown dark and ugly and they r trying to impress sivaji by dancing i was heart the film is technically the best indian movie ever made.watch out for the white rajini.the crystal set of a melodious song is the best.but the social message was not so strong.and the end of the movie one may also get confused astrology is true or false? this is not the first time that has happened in a tamil movie it always happens. i feel really bad why r not other good movies not hyped.shivaji is running across 20 (or may b more than that)theaters in mumbai.other movies just run in three of them sometimes only one i.e aurora. i would like people to see movies like mozhi-ran at 2 theaters parathi veeran unnale unnale kalki which really breaks the barriers these r the movies with a deep social message i think media should play a more responsible role by promoting films with good message.
