It is always considered that marriage is not a easy affair(i am talking abt typical tamil arranged marriage).the very important part is offcourse the invitation card
i always thought a invitation card means u r inviting ur friends and relations.so what should be the content of a invitation card i guess
the bride and the bridegroom's name
their parents name
the venue
timings
and optionally a lovely poem or thirukurul or something similar

but our side something more important than all these is
the degree of the bride bridegroom
the degree of the parents
the company were they work
the name of the brothers and sisters with degree if u hav not completed the education u can put a dot at end ora underline
the name of maternal uncle with their degree and the company they work
the name of aunties
the name of grant parents
in short all the people u know except for ur friends
i feel sad for the friends

after all this inclusion it no more a invitation card it is now a family booklet
u need to spend at least an hour to figure out the person u know
and ya if u miss out a name u r in great trouble

after seeing all these feel we don't have a difference b/w our personal life and our professional life
degree and ur job is profession what is the need to put in a invitation card just for a fake show off.
i still don't understand why do we include uncle and aunts name

now the next important question why do we attend a marriage?
to bless them and share our good wishes
but i hav seen this as secondary
the primary thing is in the function there is small marriage beureu
were people say"my sisters daughter has completed her studies she works in infosys what abt ur brother son" i am not anyway disturbed by this
but one thing that disturbs me when people talk abt the dowry the bride brings in, it goes like"she is bringing one kg gold and a santro for her in laws" the other says the "bridegroom is worth it he earns above 50,000" hello is this a marriage? or who is selling. whom god knows
and for all these nonsense people spend (mostly the bride's side)nearly 10 to 15 lakhs or more

what does marriage mean to me:
a get together were having fun is the main motto and of course my well wishes

how is my marriage going to be:
i prefer a register marriage
but since my dad have a lot of dreams it will b according to his wish
but i will take care to that my invitation card has only the essential things and the brides name will be
sasitharani
and not
sasitharani B.E

b'cos B.E is not my my marriage certificate it is for professional use only.AND don't want anyone to marry me for my degree or the dowry.I would to marry for who i am.
i will marry him for him not for his profession or salary
and also i will say each and every thing abt me i will not hide anything abt me.
i strictly believe if ur r making compromise for the sake of marriage then marriage is not a heavenly gift
it will just be a license to sex.
i want my marriage to be a HEAVENLY GIFT................
